TRAX was the world's first non-destructive, automated melodic audio source separation software. *New! Version 3 features a Consonants Annotation tool, and support for the new STEMS file format.
Using state of the art audio analysis and separation techniques, this revolutionary software will automatically create separated tracks: a vocal track and a music track. It also provides access to an estimated pitch guide-line of the main melodic content.
Upon completion of the initial separation, the user can utilize a set of standard editing tools to refine and customize the pitch guide-line and separate the original file again to create a more accurate separation. The user can then move on to the process screen where an assortment of advanced separation algorithms can be applied to remove the reverb along with the desired melodic content, enhance the consonants extraction that may have been missed, and the pan focus sliders can be used to separate content anywhere in the stereo field. TRAX even has a familiar comping feature that allows the user to quickly select the best parts of each separation and export.
ADX TRAX 3 boasts faster separation processing speeds with GPU Implementation, new STEMS file format export, consonants annotation tool, and zoom-to-fit options; all of which allow users to work smarter not harder, when separating and isolating melodic content within a mono or stereo mastered mix.

ADX TRAX Pro 3.0 now allows to export your audio files as STEMS through the File Menu.
The Consonants Annotation Tool
Use the Consonants tool to indicate where consonants are on a time range on the pitchogram. The consonants tools has been created to improve consonants extraction. Consonant annotations are optional, but help identify and extract sounds such as 'ch' or 's', which are often missed when annotating the pitch only. A Consonant Annotation can be placed over any point on a Pitch Guide Line.
Tip: When annotating the Pitch Guide with the Pencil or Marquee Tools, hold the 'C' key to temporarily select the Consonants Tool.
Zoom to Fit
Zoom to fit is accessible via the center zoom button, the View menu, or with the quick command ⌥F. Click and drag on a specific area of the pitchogram or spectrogram using this tool and it will zoom to fit your selection to your entire screen.

Using state-of-the-art audio analysis and separation techniques, this revolutionary plug-in will automatically separate a master recording's lead vocal from its accompanying music track.
The ADX Vocal Volume Control (VVC) plug-in is a one-of-a-kind solution for controlling volume level and pan position of a lead vocal within a mono or stereo final master mix, without requiring the original multitrack stems. Ideal for various pro audio workflows in post production, broadcast, advertising and marketing industries.
VVC is compatible with Mac and Windows, AAX, AU, and VST. It uses the same cloud-based, multi-algorithmic and automatic VEX technology as ADX TRAX and ADX TRAX Pro, with the convenience of working within your favorite D.A.W.
VVC is very easy to use, its elegant interface and simple controls provide access to advanced separation algorithms and standard volume and panning sliders. Once your separation is complete, you can make vocal volume adjustments of up to +12 dB to -12 dB and control the pan positioning of the separated vocal up to 60% to the left or right in the stereo field.
VVC 3.0 offers two new separation modes: Vocal and Melody. With Vocal mode selected, Automatic Voice Activity Detection (AVAD) is activated. AVAD uses an advanced algorithm to detect where a singing voice is present and will extract melodic content only during these sections. When no vocal is present, the original mix will remain unaffected. With Melody mode selected, ADX algorithms extract melodic content for the entire duration of the acquired selection. It can be useful when trying to control the volume of a monophonic instrument (Guitar, Sax, etc.), or when the Automatic Voice Activity Detection misses segments of the vocal performance.
